    Rectangle - nicole froio @NicoleFroio · May 17, 2017 there's a thread on a feminist group i mod about the worst time you've ever been mansplained to and it's fucking gold. 73 27 108 459 nicole froio @NicoleFroio · May 17, 2017 Quote this tweet with the most obvious thing a man has ever mansplained ... to you. 283 27 1.7K 503

Nicole Froio, a writer/researcher with a PHD on sexual violence and masculinity asked women to respond to her tweet with things that they have been mansplained to about. Some of them you may not believe are true, but really... are we surprised? Mansplaining is not new, it has probably been going on for centuries, if not millenniums.

Font - Margot @margot_the_mess · Feb 4 Replying to @NicoleFroio My mother's partner spent 2 hours explaining childbirth to me and telling me I was wrong - I study midwifery

Mansplaining is a product of men being told that women are meant to be taken care of. It's even hard for men to know that they are mansplaining sometimes. Men, if you can't tell whether you are mansplaining or not, ask yourself these questions: Do they ask for an explanation? Are you assuming their intelligence? Do these questions make you feel annoyed and defensive?

Rectangle - Raggers @Rag_Bros · May 17, 2017 Replying to @NicoleFroio What about when women womansplain to man? Can we talk about that ? 4 27

Some men, not surprisingly, were not too pleased to see so many replies to this tweet. Many made fun of how much time women have in their lives to respond to such topics on Twitter. They, of course, refused to acknowledge the fact that they also somehow ended up on the same tweet. But please do get angry, it really just proves Nicole's point further, and it's mighty entertaining as well.
