You know, for an animal that is oh so scary and dangerous when its grown, porcupines are insanely cute when they're babies. When their huge quills have yet to grow, and they're still tiny little huggable fuzzballs, they are so cute and underrated it's basically criminal. So, it's time to give some love to yet another extremely underrated baby animal, and this time, it's the not-yet-spikiest fluffball.
Let's be real though, us, animal lovers, have a special place in our hearts for the adorableness of dangerous animals-especially their ferocious baby versions. And this one is no different. It is definitely an animal that is much more awwdorable than you ever gave it credit for.
Did you know that porcupines are born with soft fur? So, they're literally little fuzzy fluffballs when they're born. No scary spikes to be seen anywhere. They grow their famous quills sometime during the first week of their life, but up until that point, if one offers you a hug, it's totally safe to do it.
Can you really tell us that you wouldn't want to pet this fuzzball? I mean, we get that they're intimidating when they're old, and they have their quills out and ready to defend themselves and their babies, but like this? With this big ol' fluffy nose and disheveled hair? Yes, please, let me pet this cutie.
