Funny Tweets About Pets Confused By Human Things (Mostly Dogs)

Sometimes, we find ourselves wondering what our animals are thinking about things that are totally normal to us but must be incredibly strange to them. I mean, I'm pretty sure my dog is very confused about why I'm eating my food using strange utensils rather than shoving my face into it and throwing all my kibble around like is proper. And apparently I'm not the only one who's a bit confused.

A tweet went viral about a dog being confused by elevators, and other tweets talking about adorable animal confusion by normal human things started flooding in, and it's so funny, we can't stop laughing. Animals are just so adorable when they're confused, and you're totally lying if you say you didn't deliberately try to confuse them with something funny at least once.

Font - Ron Iver @ronnui_ Do dogs understand elevators or are they just like ok it's time to get into the world changer 6:06 PM - Feb 21, 2021 Twitter for Android 57.3K Retweets 1,348 Quote Tweets 635K Likes

It truly must feel like a different world to them, and that's kind of hilarious. Do you have any regular human things that your pet reacts to funnily? Because my dog is constantly confused whenever I work out. Me trying to contort myself into weird positions seems to worry him, considering he always tries to lick my face whenever I attempt a handstand.

Font - Stevenx @StevenX_DFA Replying to @ronnui_ and @spilled100beers I once had a cat that if it was raining outside the back door, would then go to the front door and INSIST you open that one so the cat could check if it was raining in the other universe out that door too. It always was and the cat was always pissed off about it. 8:43 PM Feb 21, 2021 · Twitter Web App 166 Retweets 16 Quote Tweets 3,724 Likes

My cat, on the other hand, experiences intense confusion by my showering. Whenever I go into the shower, there's non-stop screaming by the shower door until I let her in. Then, once she's in, and I go back into my little water cubicle, there's intense screaming outside of that door too. It must look like absolute torture to her to see me doing it lol.

Font - trisha ... @Trishilishd Replying to @ronnui_ My dog once left a stick outside an elevator on the first floor. We left it there and when we got to the fourth floor and the doors opened and he immediately started looking for the stick that he left 3 floors down 8:43 PM · Feb 21, 2021 · Twitter for iPhone 140 Retweets 4 Quote Tweets 11.2K Likes

Font - Web Behrens ... @WebBehrens Replying to @Trishilishd and @ronnui_ My dog does this with his ball sometimes – he'll push it out of the elevator just as the doors close. But he knows it's not on the floor where we live. Instead, he insists on staying in the elevator and riding back down to the lobby. Font - Yuron Mute ... @pip_pip_hooray Replying to @WebBehrens @Trishilishd and @ronnui_ My dog used to love watching dogs on TV. For ages there was an ad where a man hurled a stick for a lab which flew off screen right. Every time my dog would peer round the back of the TV for the stick, then look round at us sheepishly to check if we'd noticed his silly dog error.

Font - Federico Ceccatto ... @Darkmerez Replying to @ronnui_ If I press the wrong button on the way back my dog will nevertheless exit, walk down the hallway, and wait in front of the "correct" door as if the different smells, decoration, and voices meant absolutely nothing to her. It's even difficult to get her back onto the elevator. 10:16 PM · Feb 21, 2021 · Twitter for Android

Font - Inna Gadda Covida @hoooliaaaa ... Replying to @ronnui_ My dog's never been in an elevator, but I wonder what she thinks of cars. When she wants to go for a ride, she just keeps trying to walk up to random parked cars. I don't know if she doesn't know which one is mine, or she thinks you can just use whichever one is there 10:11 PM Feb 21, 2021 - Twitter for iPhone

Font - Kevin E. Decker @thekevster101 Replying to @ronnui_ I ask this all the time!!! My dog gets in the elevator and waits patiently before yanking me down the hall to our door... does he think it's a teleportation machine or does he understand that we are moving up and then stopping on a new level!? 4:14 AM - Feb 22, 2021 · Twitter for iPhone

Font - Double-Naught Spy @NaughtSpy ... Replying to @ronnui_ and @gtconway3d Our cat has taken a sudden interest in the garage. My theory is that, because the humans always leave & return through that door, she thinks we just go into the garage and stay there for hours or sometimes days. She wants to know what the heck goes on in there. 1:16 AM - Feb 22, 2021 - Twitter for iPhone

Rectangle - Khouri @khouri86 Replying to @ronnui_ and @Manglehaft I don't think they do, they barely grasp stairs. Both my dog and cats will see how crappy it is outside from the window, but not believe it until they're at the door 8:16 PM · Feb 21, 2021 · Twitter for Android
