Have any of you other cat owners experienced the wrath of a cat against a closed door? Apparently, my cat is not the only one who hates them for some unclear reason, meowing at the door and at me until I open it and then just... sitting there or walking away like she didn't just wake me up at three in the morning for this one specific thing.
Well... as much as we don't understand why this happens, I suppose there is nothing we can do but take it and make sure that as many doors as possible are open in the middle of the night. I mean, yeah, cats may be annoying little hellions sometimes, but that doesn't mean we love them any less lol.
I mean... there's a chance that this cat was sitting there beforehand during the night, protesting the closed-ness of this door. It could be love, we suppose, cats are super affectionate to some humans sometimes. But maybe it just realized that the door opener woke up and the evil door can finally be opened.
Our theory is that they simply want access to all places at all times. And while we're awake, it's fine, sometimes they'll choose a room at random and force us to open the door for them. But at night, their door opener is asleep, so if a door is closed, it is immediate that they wake us up like the jerks that they are to get us to open the door for them.
