Ancient Roman Memes For Bewaring The Ides Of March
In 44 BC, notorious Roman dictator Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times by his own senators, soldiers, officers and associates during a senate meeting on the Ides of March. Once a day of celebration, many history buffs now associate March 15th with tragedy and betrayal, largely thanks to soothsayer's famous warning in Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, 'beware the Ides of March.'
