Looking at this picture, we can just feel the calmness emanating from that room. We can smell the books, can hear the absolute silence, can feel the carpet under our fingers when we sit there to be able to pet the cat calmly. The peacefulness of the location and the happiness of the cat is something that would seep right down to our bones.

No wonder cats are so attracted to these places - libraries are just the purrfect place to get some peace and quiet. There are so many calm people that can give them attention without being overbearing. And, of course, there are many, many climbable surfaces that they may hop to if they don't feel like being touched anymore.
