Twitter Gets Funny About Donkeys (Viral Tweets)

Every once in a while, twitter decides it's time to show love to an underrated animal. And this time - they are going for donkeys. Underappreciated in the extreme, donkeys are adorable, they are smart, and they clearly deserve way more love than they get. So, when The New York Times puts out an article claiming that there's something new we need to know about them, we - donkey appreciators - lose our minds. We need to know what is so important about donkeys.

And twitter made sure to teach us everything that we're not appreciating enough about donkeys.

    You have to give it to the NYT, they sure do know how to write a headline. We would have also panicked had we seen this article and have been unable to read it. There is clearly such important information being delivered in this piece of journalism, we simply have to know what it is.

    Okay, this is by far the best picture of a donkey we've ever seen. And that's quite a high bar to pass, not gonna lie. But this kitten - oh my goodness - putting this screaming kitten into this picture as well is everything that we needed. Putting our favorite animal with our other favorite underappreciated animal is a level of pawfect we were not prepared for.
