As kids, we never knew how draining adulting could be. We imagined adulthood as staying up all night while stuffing our faces with all the junk food in the world without any consequences whatsoever. The concept of 'healthy lifestyle' had yet to enter our vocabulary. Alas, we now know the truth about adulthood. Unfortunately, we have to stick to our own curfews in order to be able to function the next day and hold back on junk food sometimes because that will ultimately lead to a downward spiral from both a physical and emotional standpoint. This is adulting summed up in one tweet. If I had to explain adulting to the next generation in one sentence, this is what I would use. The older I get, the more I understand why so many women tied down sugar daddies in college. I could use someone paying for my sh*t right about now, and maybe for the rest of my life, too.
