We, cat owners, know that our cats are majestic beings. They are descendants of great, dangerous, glorious felines. So, of course, we make sure to treat them in a way that is appropriate.

We present them with water, food, snacks. We pet them when they want it and get scratched when they don't. But the first thing we do to show our royal cats the respect that they deserve is give them a name - the most regal and majestic- okay, fine, we call them the dumbest things sometimes.

They're... not wrong about this. Be honest, even if you started off by giving your cat a perfectly normal name, eventually, you got to the point of calling it "come, her jiggly puff belly fluff." It's inevitable. They are way too cute to stay with a normal name for too long.

Actually, maybe it's a food thing. Maybe we just like calling them by food names, considering the number of the hilarious cat names in these tweets that are either straight up food or have to do with food. It makes sense though - naming our cats after the one thing that they will forever love more than us - feeding time.
