Adopted 17-year-old finds out parent's have secret college fund for golden child little sister but not for him, he confronts them about it but they dismiss him: 'It's none of your business'
Being adopted is a complicated issue for many. Even if you have the best parents out there who really wanted to have kids when they adopted you, the world around you may make you feel like you're lesser, unimportant, or unloved compared to bio kids. In the story here, there's a lot going on. The protagonist is a 17-year-old boy who was adopted. His parents were with him during his bio mom's birth, so the connection is deep. But three years into having him, the couple gets pregnant biologically with a girl. So now he has a little sister who he perceives as the golden child. They worship her, they baby her, she gets all the cuddles, love and nicknames while he feels like he's treated as a second class son.
As he gets older, he finds out that his parents have a college fund for his golden child little sister but not for him. He confronts them about it, but doesn't get the closure he wants.
