Moving into a new home can really end up being a roll of the dice. You very well might find yourself unfortunately closely located to a neighbor who went from being reasonable enough, to a full on catastrophe. We just ran a brief story about a rather nasty neighbor who continually troubled the cops with the pettiest of complaints, and then ended up losing half of his garden in the process. Hopefully these people's stories of their nightmare neighbors make you feel better about any scenarios you had to endure with unfriendly neighbors.

We have a decent neighborly relationship in general, but when I moved in he tried to convince me that a whole section of my yard was his. Fortunately, the previous owner had warned me he might try this. Now we rent the house out. About a month later the neighbor sent us certified mail claiming one of the trees we did not cut down, was not healthy. Of course this was not true because had all the trees inspected before removal. Because they sent us certified mail it forced us to get an umbrella insurance policy to cover the event of the tree falling on their house.
