A large part of growing up is gaining new obsessions. While it's happening, we like to believe that, 'It's not a phase, mom!' But it doesn't take too long to realize, yep, that was definitely a phase. For example, I used to be obsessed with Spongebob. Yeah, Mr. Squarepants. I actually wanted him painted all over my room. I guess I thought I was going to forever be into iconic Nickelodeon shows... but alas, this phased probably lasted no longer than 6 months.
People are sharing the things they used to be obsessed with that they didn't exactly take with them into their adult life. Classic.
It was reddit user u/SirGergoyFriendman who asked people their biggest/most regrettable "It's not a phase, mom. It's my life." It seems a lot of people could relate to having not very long-lasting obsessions as well since there were over 12k responses in 12 hours.
Hey, it's definitely not too late to be a wrestler. But I do question why anybody would want this profession. It's so... intimate. I feel like maybe a good hug might be exactly what this person needs.
