I went on a date with a guy and he told me that he had to register as a sex offender because when he was 20 he had a relationship with a 17-year-old and her father worked for the FBI. I did some research and this was NOT the entire story. It turns out he was talking to multiple people who he THOUGHT were underaged girls on the Internet, but they were really undercover informants. He crossed state lines to meet up with a supposed 14-year-old, making it a federal offense. He ended up getting on on an entrapment technicality but he was a full-blown pedophile.
