I went on a movie date with a guy. He told me to grab the tickets while he grabbed some popcorn. He didn't actually buy the popcorn, he dug through the trash can to find a used jumbo tub because they had free refills. He also snuck a soda in his coat pocket...but not one for me.

I went to lunch with a guy and he ordered a hot tea. His apartment was about 7 blocks away. He excused himself, and I figured he ran to the bathroom. 20 minutes later I thought he ditched me. He finally came back and said he ran to his place to grab a tea bag so he wouldn't have to actually pay for the tea because they can't charge you for hot water.

The proudest cheap ass there ever was
I agreed to go on a date with a guy who told me to meet him at a restaurant. When I showed up there was some sort of party for the hotel concierge industry going on with an open bar. After that, he took me to the hotel he worked at for a bite to eat. After we finished he looked for a manager to comp our check. He then asked me to leave a tip for the server and when we left he said, 'An entire night and I didn't have to spend a dime!' He was so proud.

The guy who wanted a ride home to save $4
I met a guy in the city for a date after work. When it was time to go home he asked me if I would drive him home, which was about 45 minutes in the opposite direction, making my entire commute home about 90 minutes. I asked him why he wouldn't just take the train and he said it was on peak hours and he didn't want to pay the extra $4. Would literally have cost me more to drive him out there and back home.
