The Best Dates People Have Ever Been On

Usually, we like to share disaster dates or awkward relationship stories. But sometimes it is nice to read something positive. After all, there must be some reason people continue to put themselves out there. Occasionally people do actually have some fun dates, and these stories could be used as motivation to keep going for the gold. A really good date is the first step into a potential really good relationship after all. Or it could just be a good time you can think back to fondly.

People are sharing the best dates they've ever been on on Reddit, and it's surprisingly refreshing.

It was Reddit user u/EdwardBibgy to asked people to share the best dates they've ever been on. It's interesting to read about what made these dates so successful. The recipe for the perfect date might not be as complex as you might think.

Font - maroooni • 6d 3 Awards Going to a party with a guy i've been crushing on for a long time and some mutual friends, then hanging out after hours with the friends and having pretty great sex on acid and MDMA after they left. Was awesome, we could let go of any weird expectations and inhibitions and just vibe together. Afterwards i stayed there for two more days, we cuddled a lot and cooked together, went outside for a bit, etc. Been together ever since. G Reply 4 2.8k 3

It seemed the vibes really carried this date. Also, the fact that they had been crushing on each other for some time before, and there were some drugs and sexy times involved. Hey, to each their own. For this couple, this was the perfect date cocktail. How about you?

Font - SilverChair86 • 6d 3 Awards It was in Liverpool, I met a guy when clubbing and the next day he texted me asking if I wanted to go have coffee with him. We met at a nice coffee place and hit it off instantly, we went walking through the city and had lunch, then we went to an art gallery where there was this room with a beautiful installation of ribbons or streamers in all colours, a sort of maze. We got lost and lost each other and tried to find each other again, laughing and flirting, we

Font - MadamKitsune · 6d We walked around some Roman ruins and then he took me to a park where the squirrels are so used to people that they'll come and take food from your hand. We walked and talked for hours and it was so easy and natural. There wasn't anything flashy or grand about it all but it was one of those days that satisfy your soul. 6 Reply 4 242 3 ...

Font - InterestingCloud9 · 6d We went on a trip to a seaside arcade and tried to see how long we could make £5 last on the penny slot machines, then took a walk on the beach. It was a bleak, rainy, cold day in the middle of February in England so not exactly picturesque, but we were having so much fun spending time together it didn't matter. We then went to a pub for a steak dinner which was lovely, and watched a Star Wars film at his house in the evening while we got ready to go to a friend's b

Font - DrsPsycho · 6d We had dinner in his garden and he cooked a 3 course meal (all gluten-free). He played some of my favourite music and afterwards we went to some kind of festival. He got me a big stuffed animal from the claw machine and we rode the ferries wheel (I'm afraid of heights :D). I stayed for the night and we did this experiment for which you ask the other 24? very personal questions to see if you fall in love. That whole day was great :) 6 Reply 4 107 3 ...

Font - Alternative_Piglet · 6d Talked to him online for weeks, met up at a restaurant for lunch near our university. We instantly clicked. Sat there 3 hours talking, then went for a walk and then sat at a café for hours. I remember small things but not exactly everything we talked about. He told me, my ex's loss was his gain after I brought up some of the problems of my last relationship. Encouraged me and was totally impressed that I was thinking about doing a medical procedure for someone else

Font - ohhkaay · 6d We had lunch and he talked about starting a herb garden. So we went to the garden centre, got everything he needed to start a garden and put it together. It was something different from the norm and he was a cool guy. G Reply 1 79 3 ...

Font - bigheadsmolbrain · 6d With my SO. We did one of those high ropes courses up in the trees. I was hungover to shit (wasn't in a great place at the time) but we had such a good time. We needed to eat after and I said l'd go for x but it's closed down and he was like noooo they reopened so we went for big fat burgers then went back to my place and watched movies and made out furiously until he went home at 2am. Love that guy. G Reply 4 67 3 ...

Font - ilovemoomins • 6d It was a rollercoaster of emotions. It starts off with his flight being delayed because protesters blocked the runway. Then I was 1 hour late. Wasn't my fault, my apartment area became a crime scene with a bunch of police so it took forever to actually get into the building even tho it was 30 seconds away from the underground. After that I tried to find a different way to another entrance of the station, but got lost in a housing estate. Anyways, I reached his hotel.whil

Font - chocolatebuckeye · 6d Met at a little cafe for dinner. Conversation flowed so smoothly. Broached all the taboo subjects like politics and religion. Agreed on everything. My heart was fluttering the whole time because I knew this was something great. We could have talked all night long but I worked night shift at the time so I had to cut our conversation short to go to work at some point. That was ten years ago this year. Now he's my hubby and best friend and we're expecting our first chil

Font - jalapenorthwest · 6d It was our fifth date. He had me over to his place and cooked dinner for me. I walked over and told myself I needed to make a decision that night, did I want to keep seeing him or not?- because I knew he was already "sure" about me and I didn't want to continue if I wasn't. Within five minutes of being at his place, I just new. I wanted to keep dating him. Being with him was where I wanted to be. We've been out a few more times since and I'm hoping we make it official
