Everyone in the service industry has at one point had to deal with ridiculous customer demands. Whether that's demanding exactly a pound of wings and getting less wings or rudely demanding no ice and getting less than that, clueless customers have a virtuosic way of asking for something stupid or impossible, then being furious after getting what they want.
As someone who has worked in the food industry, it can be so difficult to not get smart with customers. There's the saying "the customer is always right", but anyone who has worked in the customer service industry knows that this doesn't always hold up. There will always be a Karen who thinks you can read their mind or thinks that everything they say is absolutely correct. Moral of the story is tip your waiters and treat people with kindness. They deal with mean people every day, so be a shining light in the darkness.
