If you're not a tourist, you probably know by now that going to Times Square is a painful experience. While it's definitely not boring, it's crawling with characters. You've got hawkers, people in costumes, the Naked Cowboy, and, of course, tourists who don't know how to walk. It seems that one brave and technologically inclined New Yorker has come up with a clever solution to avoiding the latter - using a hoverboard to rise above the hubbub.
Oh nothing - just a dude flying around NYC… pic.twitter.com/qJp2mKgV8R

Twitter user Rex Chapman shared footage of this magical mode of transportation yesterday, and the video quickly went viral. Not because of the technology, but because the mystery rider looks an awful lot like Green Goblin, a well-known villain from the Spider-Man universe. Despite the millions of views, the wannabe villain's identity is still unknown. Which is a shame, because we'd like to thank them for a) making Time Square cool for about 10 seconds, and B) proving that NYC really is back. Here's hoping we get another sighting.
