Clocking in at a specific time is a common point of contention at retail jobs. It's not uncommon to hear employers ask employees not to clock in until their shift has started, or bosses complain when employees clock in for their shift late. It's another thing entirely for an employee to find out they're not actually paid even after they've clocked in. When Reddit user u/afazihdob was warned for arriving for a shift two minutes late, he did some digging and discovered the company didn't pay employees for the three minutes before and after their scheduled shift time, so he got creative. The manager in question here comes across looking like a jerk; at the end of the day, the employee got a raise and a location transfer. The time-obsessed manager, of course, was apparently fired for time theft sometime down the line.
These moments are a great example of how people shouldn't let others push them around. For another worthy example, take a gander at this store owner who wouldn't update their business' phone number, prompting a dude to fight back.
