It's really common these days for people to have a few dietary restrictions. There's nothing inherently wrong with excluding a couple of things for health, or environmental reasons, but obviously, some restrictions are more serious than others. Whatever the case may be, if you know you have some pretty strict food rules, you can't really go around assuming people will prepare the appropriate food for you. Unless you wear a sign everywhere you go, you need to vocalize to people what you need, we're not psychics after all.
It was Reddit user u/IcyReference_ who asked the 'Am I The A-Hole' community if she might be in the wrong for not preparing vegan food for a surprise guest that her sister brought to dinner. Sounds a bit entitled to us.
Before diving in the OP provided some much-needed backstory. This was just a casual dinner that the OP decided to cook for everyone, it clearly was not disclosed to here that it had to be vegan or anything out of the ordinary.
