In today's "Am I The A$$hole?" thread, the OP is a wholesome dad questioning if he is misogynistic for being momentarily disappointed after his fourth daughter was born. However, it was a moment that passed very quickly, and he was ecstatic about his newborn right after. His wife asked him why he looked slightly disappointed after, and he admitted that he was disappointed for a second, but was so grateful for their baby girl. His mom told him she was disappointed in him for this moment of 'misogyny.' I personally can't say that I agree with the mom. After three daughters, I understand why he would be hoping for a son, and he still loves his fourth daughter wholeheartedly. We're humans, and sometimes we have fleeting emotions. That's okay. Cute, wholesome family. Love it, but where does the drama come in?
Fleeting moments of disappointment shouldn't define OP as a father.
