Being married to someone, you kind of become a team, especially in social gatherings. You are in charge of taking careof each other, reading the other person's expression to see when they want to go home, and helping to make the other person look good in front of their friends. Although teasing is a form of flirting, nobody wants to be humiliated by their significant other in public. However, if you're some kind of compulsive liar, there is simply no way you can expect your partner to keep up with your literal BS. Here's an idea, maybe try honesty?
It was Reddit user u/Diana201356 who took to the 'Am I The A-Hole' community to ask if they were in the wrong for 'exposing' her husband's lies. There is definitely a lot to unpack in this story.
Before diving into the story the OP explains the backgrounds that she and her husband came from. It seems that her husband is ashamed of his past even though there isn't much reason to be. The major issue is that he copes with it through lying.
