Polka Dot Man David Dastmalchian Gets Chosen By A Stray Cat (Tweets)
No matter who you are, no matter where you are, if you are destined to have a cat, that cat will find you, and that cat will choose you. Because, really, humans don't choose their cats, cats are the ones who choose us, and we have no way to respond other than taking them and spoiling them rotten. Or, like in the case of The Suicide Squad's Polka Dot Man, i.e. David Dastmalchian, spoil them and make them superstars.
All it really took for this lovely cat, now named Abner Bubblegum Polka Dot Cat, or Bubblegum for short, to be adopted is to approach David Dastmalchian, and that's it, his heart was stolen. Adorably, the costume designer for the movie, Judianna Makovsky, fell in love with the little cat too, and made the cat a superhero costume of its own - a polka dot-covered suit and goggles - inspired by the original Polka Dot suit.

It is legitimately one of our favorite things that no matter what you may be doing, if a cat chooses you, you belong to the cat. Honestly, had this happened to us, we would have reacted in the same way, picking up the little fluffball and taking it home. Really, it's only a bonus that the cat gets to be a whole superhero now.

Even the expression on this cat's face is fierce as heck. We would be super afraid and intimidated if we came across such a terrifying itty bitty floofer on the street. We would not mess with him. Oh, no. We would definitely not try to pet it and take pictures with it, definitely not.
