There is absolutely nothing worse than being stuck living next to an impossibly terrible neighbor. When a new neighbor — the aforementioned Mike — moved in next door and tried to dictate who could have control over an oddly placed driveway, the original poster didn't budge an inch, plotting to make a new driveway entirely on their property and block the amount of space Mike's driveway could take up for when he started renting out the place. Having a surveyor draw a property line spooked Mike off for good; he never spoke to OP again.
