Exaggerated Warnings People Got When They Were Younger

Just because someone's further on in their years than you, and aggressively insists that they've seen it all, doesn't for one second guarantee that they actually know what they're talking about. Unfortunately, many of us have fallen prey to exaggerated warnings that we received when younger and impressionable that ended up not being applicable to much of life at all as we get older. Maybe some of these will strike a chord.
