Gotta love it when someone is so far up their own ass that they've gone delusional on the fumes and think they can charge people for the privilege of working for them. That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works. Reddit user u/LinuxGamer2020 posted this ridiculous back-and-forth on r/ChoosingBeggars, in which an apparent "influencer" offers to have the user edit their YouTube videos and then charge the OP for their own work. Generally speaking (and this is obvious), people get paid when they perform work — not the other way around. This conversation goes to the wayside quickly as the ridiculous "influencer" runs through the whole "but you'll get exposure!" routine and ends with some creative insults tossed around. In an age where so many people maintain a notable online presence, 59,000 subscribers really isn't all too much to brag about. Particularly when you're not even willing to pay people to work with you.
For some more delusional interactions with entitled people, here's the Karen who doesn't understand why work costs money or this sketchy business that gets called out and accuses a freelancer of being a shyster. It's tough simply finding work from people who aren't terrible, isn't it?
