Genius Uses Creative Workaround to Avoid Cancelation Costs on His Waylaid Holiday

This couple was facing high cancellation fees for their ruined holiday. When they contacted the travel agency they were completely unwilling to cooperate and let the couple have their money back. The agency did, however, have a lenient rescheduling plan. Through which, you would be able to change your holiday destination and duration entirely. This led the couple to a brilliant idea and they decided to downgrade their holiday plans first instead.

This is a great trick for anyone looking to dodge cancellation fees. Reportedly, its use is not just limited to canceled holiday plans either. Other posters mention using this same premise for things like canceled doctor's office visits and such. It is absolutely something to keep in mind if you encounter some tricky cancellation policies or get stuck with surprises at the last minute. 

Genius trick or not, this one absolutely boils down to some genius malicious compliance. Definitely, one of the more clever workarounds we have seen.
