We all have different love languages. Some of us like to give gifts, or words of affirmation. Some of us feel valued through touch rather than acts of service or quality time with our partners. It doesn't really matter whether you and your partner share the same love language, but you need to understand your partner in order to truly appreciate them. Cooking meals can be one major form of showing love for someone, it takes time and effort, and is one of the most meaningful gifts or acts of service you can provide for someone. But it may not be the way your partner expects to be loved. Acts of service aren't everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely possible to accept love even if it's not your preferred language.
Now how would you feel if your partner thanked you by spitting in your food to go viral on a 60-second video app? Yeah, we're probably on the same page here.
