Hair Is Overrated: First-Ever Bald Festival Takes Place in NYC

People are always afraid of going bald. Losing our luscious locks is something we all pray will never happen. But maybe we should be celebrating this change instead of dreading it. Bald is beautiful and now there is a festival thrown for balding beauties. The first-ever 'Bald Fest' just took place in New York City. Rapper Kosha Dillz put this event together as a counteract to NYC Fashion Week. Fashion week celebrates models and celebrities that have it all, where 'Bald Fest' celebrates people who don't have it all - not even hair. Kosha said, "Bald Fest is a celebration of owning your own fate. People who are losing hair, receding hair, bald, Alopecia, bald allies, and bald-owned businesses." The attendees were bald and charitable, 100% of the proceeds went to Haiti Earthquake Relief. Take a look at these highlights from the first and hopefully not the last, 'Bald Fest.'
