Sakamoto used to be an ordinary cat when he was found and taken in by some of the main characters of Nichijou - My Ordinary Life, Nano and Hakase. After being found, Hakase made a scarf for him that gave him the ability to speak. This didn't work as they expected though, as Sakamoto sounded older and demanded respect. He is older than both Nano and Hakase (20 years old in cat years), and prefers to be called "Sakamoto-san" to emphasize his authority. Between his large eyes and exaggerated facial expressions, Sakamoto is one of the most memorable anime cats of all time.
His attitude only makes his interactions with the other characters all the more hilarious! Some of them treat him as an elder, but some like to annoy him by treating him like a regular cat. He does enjoy many typical cat things though, but it's funny to see him try and pretend like he doesn't so he won't be treated like a regular cat.
That's right, Sakamoto-san! Demand that respect. You are a kind, beautiful, smart feline and you better be getting allll of the respect you deserve. Also, keep being you're uniquely awwdorable feline self.
Dinner is served! Fish flavored, of course. Looks like Ramen's on the menu. Ramen is a Japanese noodle soup. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork, nori, menma, and scallions and is often featured in various anime shows!
