It's almost turkey time! But before that we have the rest of October, Halloween, and plenty of time to keep enjoying our fall produce. Pumpkins, apples, and of course, corn, are staples of the season. But did you know that cats have a fascinating taste for ears of corn? We know, we were also quite surprised to learn this.
It turns out that when crazy cats see ears of corn, they turn into a silly imitation of an apex predator, pouncing on the corn and ripping it to shreds with alarming ferocity. However no matter how focused the adorable kitties and kittens are when they attack the corn, they still look way more adorable than threatening. Take a look at these cats noshing down on some corn:
Look at the aggression in their eyes as they chow down on some corn. Clearly, these kitties mean business. Someone better lock up the rest of this autumn's corn, because trust us, the cats are coming, and it's getting real.
Awwww. Why does this cat want this corn so badly? We have a lot of questions about this photo, but we're going to start with one. Was the bite taken out of the corn by the cat or by the hooman? Pretty perplexing if you ask us.
