Did you know Dachshunds are affectionately known as "Doxies?" Well, I didn't either. I always thought the long-bodied, short-legged, sphere-shaped pups were called Weiner dogs, and that was it.
If this little-known fact intrigued you (or you are craving more fun facts from last week's segment), keep reading because here is a fun and interesting compilation of more "Doxie" facts that you probably didn't know. Not to mention, the pictures are just so darn cute to look at. I mean how could you pass up the opportunity to see one of these lil guys in a hot dog bun?!?! Enjoy, weiner lovers!
Dachshunds are small, to begin with, and now we also have a miniature version? Cuteness overload. So does this mean a newborn miniature puppy has to be on record for the smallest thing to exist ever?
Now, this is what I mean, Weiner dog is the most logical nickname for a dachshund. So, where did doxie come from? I bet not from a cool food-based fun fact like this one.
