Dietary differences can inspire some serious drama, like this vegan who refused to eat a coworker's suspicious cake, but this is something else entirely. A cardinal rule of dining out is that you don't bring food from elsewhere into the restaurant you sit down at, but nobody told Reddit user u/AccomplishedCandle83 this. She posted to r/AmITheAsshole to explain that an extreme picky eating habit led to her ordering delivery from Burger King directly to a hibachi restaurant that her family dined at one night. Apparently, she figured it was fine because nobody stopped her and she even paid for the delivery herself… rather than eat something as simple as hibachi chicken at the restaurant she was already at.
While this person is relatively young (19), she is a legal adult and should really know better. Picky eating habits? Fine. Everyone has their quirks. But when you order food delivery when you're already at a restaurant due to those habits, people are going to judge you.
