We all want to motivate our kids to go down some creative path. After all, there are about a million studies that prove doing something creative like dance, painting, or learning an instrument helps people to excel in other academic areas. But unfortunately, we can't choose the kinds of fields our children will be drawn to. And sometimes it's a loud ass trumpet, and then suddenly we can only hope that they grow out of the phase after several weeks.
