We all know that service dogs are basically pure angels, they're just so wholesome and kind, not to mention helpful! They help people everyday and we can only aspire to help the world as much as these dogs do. That's why we love to learn more about these magnificent service dogs. That's why we were so thrilled to learn about this heroic doggo who saved over a hundred koalas and won an award for his heroic actions.
According to Good News Network, between 2019 and 202, the 6-year-old dog helped to rescue over 100 injured koalas from the Australian bush fires, and is now winning an award from the International Fund for Animal Welfare. To quote the article, "Bear was trained in Australia at the University of the Sunshine Coast, where their Detection Dogs for Conservation team taught the former rescue dog to use his heightened sense of smell to hunt out the injured koalas among the ashes."
Wow, look at this pawsome fellow trotting about in nature. Such a good boy and a hard working dog. Do you see the smol little harness that this pupper is wearing? Nothing could be cuter than one of the bestest boys in the world also helping to save the world. We absolutely love to see this kind of thing!
Aww, look at this good service dog posing with a friend. According to the dog's Instagram, "Romane is a strong believer in the inclusion of the community to strengthen sustainable conservation outcomes for koalas. To support koala welfare, Romane and team are collaborating with wildlife rescue groups, by deploying detection dogs to find injured, sick or otherwise threatened koalas."
