Movie reviews don't always have to be super serious, poignant, and insightful. Thanks to Letterboxd, a social network dedicated to rating and reviewing movies, anyone can be a critic. Even that neckbeard in his basement who only watches anime - or your neighbor who can't handle a few subtitles. Because any average Joe can hop onto the app and offer their two cents, the site has become a sort of bizarro Twitter for film buffs. Instagram account @letterboxd_outofcontext does a great job archiving all the funniest hidden gems on Letterboxd. Sometimes movie reviews that have little to do with the movie are the best ones of all. We've collected some of our favorite reviews from the weird and humorous side of Letterboxd. Eat your heart out, Roger Ebert.
