We do so love Autumn, but we would be lying if we said we didn't miss a little bit of sunshine. With all the cozy sweaters, fuzzy blankets, and hot beverages come gloomy vibes and endlessly cloudy days. Especially on a Monday. We may not have control of the weather (yet), but we do have control over our mental state. If we can't bring out the sunshine, we'll have to bring our own.

There's no animal that feels like a ray of sun on a cloudy day more than a doggo. Perhaps a quokka, but that's a different article altogether. Dogs make us feel loved, excited, happy - quite literally all the pawsitive emotions. They make us laugh with their derpy souls and fuzzy faces without even trying. They cuddle with us on the couch and rush to greet us the second we walk in the door. If that's not true love, we're not sure what is.

Hey, don't hate on Chihuahuas! They may be small and yappy, but you would be too if you weighed the same as a grapefruit. They're great dogs if trained well. All they want to do is curl up on your lap and be next to you. And a sparkling mouse doesn't sound too bad, anyway.

We definitely rescued the dog, but she also rescued us. We found pawrental love after we adopted her, and we didn't know we were even capable of loving something so much. Would it be nice if she could contribute to the household financially? Sure. But if not, we'll just keep taking our payments in the form of snuggles and kisses.
