When we think of Thanksgiving the first things to come to mind are obviously the food. Sure, it's family time. There's a football game and lots of saying what we're thankful for. But you can't ignore the fact that the food is the most crucial element. Not just any dishes either. Each family shakes things up a little bit, but there's always the basics: turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, the usual. If it's potluck style, everyone is welcome to bring their own dish, but if one person showed up with an entire meal just for themselves, well, it could definitely throw the energy off.
