Sorry you're offended by your daughter's allergies dad! Like how insecure do you have to be to be opposed to your daughter being able to eat everything at her OWN party. You obstinate old sod.
She's only celebrating her first birthday so there are going to be a few more to go. Don't worry you'll have plenty of time to get it right before she starts resenting you and your entire family in her teens. All because you were too much of a coward to be accomodating of her allergies.
At least Mom is looking out for her daughter's best interests. But I do tend to agree with commenters here... It's a shame that she has to do it but she could work on the sales pitch here. You don't need to call it vegan, just call it "egg and dairy free so my daughter doesn't die".
Then chuck some hunks of meat on the bloody barbie and you're away!
Oh, and maybe work on distancing yourself from your husband's lovely family...! Before you decide to marry someone it's always best to check what the in laws are like!
