Pricey Starbucks Custom Order Has People Lamenting Its Absurdity

Starbucks is a brand that has undergone radical reimagining of its image over the years. Once upon a time, it was simply a popular provider of flat whites for caffeine-deprived professionals. Then, the pumpkin spice crept in and so did the stereotype of the basic white girl. Nowadays, their baristas can serve you up all sorts of wild and wacky flavor combinations.

You'd think there might be a limit to the amount of craziness that the brand is willing to try and fit in one cup, but their app would suggest otherwise. This is what @intstrumentality.project found out when he decided to test how much he could modify an order of a vanilla bean Frappuccino.

Involving add ons such as several types of sprinkles, numerous affogato shots and no fewer than twelve bananas, the hefty order came to a total of more than fifty dollars. Posting the order to TikTok, viewers were both horrified and fascinated by the ridiculous creation. He even ended up trying to order the drink — although perhaps it's not a surprise that the store was not able to make it, and ended up offering a replacement. Given the sheer amount of ingredients in that thing, it's probably for the best.
