You gotta love it when the kid is more mature than the adults in the situation. It's kinda sad in a way because you have to imagine that it came about out of necessity. With the kid needing to fill the void of maturity in order to maintain some semblance of structure and function within the familial unit.
Seems like the skills she has learned as a teen has done her well in adulthood. It's hard not to applaud the way that she has set and communicated effective boundaries with her entitled family.
She must have gone to the same school of thought as this girl who set her parents in their place about her line of work in childcare when she told them how much she was making.
