People Share Stories About How Their Pets Messed Up Their Dates

Pets can be one of the greatest joys in life. Who doesn't love to come home to a doggo or a cat being absolutely pawdorable? Sometimes however, because life is an adventure, we come home to find a little doggo incident has occured, that or a cat being a hooligan. Whether they attack your Christmas tree, are too needy to be left outside, or send someone to the emergency room, these pawsome pets can really stop their owners from finding true love. We got some help from Reddit and from The Single Society blog to bring you these hilarious user-submitted stories about pets getting in the way of successful dates. 

Hopefully we can all learn from this hiss-terical list and remember to keep our beloved goofball kitties and doggies at home, at least for the first date. These stories are so diverse, although there is a common theme surrounding pets getting into bathroom-related accidents, we promise that each story is even funnier and more embarrassing than the last one.     Font - "I took my date (who I was really into) home to find my roommate pacing around looking for his pet tarantula. Turns out it got out of its terrarium because he forgot to put the lid back on after cleaning it. Just knowing there was a loose tarantula in the house freaked her out and she was like 'NOPE!" I didn't blame her though."

    Aww, we don't blame this poor girl, if you're afraid of spiders then you could definitely get freaked out to realize there's a tarantula on the loose. On the other hand, the good news is that spiders like this one don't typically have anything deadly about them. We hope that this poor couple got the opportunity to have a second date.

He said, 'I don't think a patio would be a good idea, my dog isn't good around people'. The date was a failure. This dog whined and barked and pulled on her leash every time we crossed other people."

    Ok now, who the heck is bringing a dog who 'isn't good with people' with them on a first date, that's already a bit of bad sign. Seriously now, this isn't rocket science, if your doggo gets nervous or upset around people, then don't bring them with you on a date!

I guess my dog thought the guy was hurting me so she bit him in the calf. I had to take him to the hospital and we were there all night. The bite ended up getting infected and it cost me about $5k."
