We all have (terrible) memories of our parents forcing us to eat various foods throughout childhood, all for the sake of expanding our pallets and trying new things. While it's always well-intentioned, a lot of kids just don't want to try new things — resulting in this amusing tale from r/MaliciousCompliance.
Redditor u/rebelkittenscry recalled his parents' old-school rule that they had to finish all the food on their plate before they could leave the dinner table. OP wrote that one night, they decided to get snarky and scraped the undesirable food they had onto their father's plate. Once their plate was empty, they successfully argued that they could now leave the table. His mother allowed this: after all, nobody had specified the food had to be eaten — just that it wasn't on his plate any longer.
Way to take advantage of a loophole, OP. We see you. For more malicious compliance stories, check out the boss who told their employee they need permission to clock out of work.
