The internet plays host to a good amount of content about entitled parents, but this story stands out from the pack. Redditor u/Totalwink took to Reddit's r/entitledparents community to share this ridiculous story about how his parents staged an intervention for him when he went home for Christmas with his fiancé and tried to do some wedding planning along the way. While it sounds like they straight-up don't approve of the relationship, it's pretty brutal that OP's parents seemingly agreed to help with aspects of the wedding and take on some of its cost only to do a complete 180 later on and act like they never approved of the wedding's existence in the first place. Not only did they want OP to call off the wedding, but they wanted him to effectively desert the fiancé right then and there. This took place over Christmas, too — very much not in the spirit of the winter holidays.
