There's something about Christmastime that just takes me back to my childhood, when Disney princesses were my role models and whirlwind romance seemed like a real thing that could happen to me. And I don't think I'm the only one, because it turns out there's a ton of Christmas movies with a royal theme. Sure, the classic Hallmark sees a girl leaving her career for a small town simple life…but it turns out the meaning of Christmas is also preserved if you leave your career for a glamorous royal life instead, somehow! And really, I have life goals, but these movies make me want to abandon them and buy a ticket to England in hopes of bumping into a duke or something who will whisk me away to his castle. I'd meet his family, they'd all love me because I have pure intentions unlike all those gold-diggers who are always chasing their son, and then we'd have a huge wedding on the taxpayers' dime.
