We've said it before, and we'll say it again: The world feels royally messed up right now. And it has for a while. If you don't maintain perspective, it's easy to succumb to the doom and gloom - especially when the news has nothing positive to say. Lucky for all of us trying to keep it together, there are little bright spots to be found. And a lot of them happen to live on the internet. While happy and wholesome posts may be a little less frequent than fear mongering and hate-spewing, we'll take what we can get.

Aug 22 at 8:45 AM • O My ex boyfriend used to yell at me when I would go out with my friends, and tell me that if I were out past a certain time, he would lock me out of the house I was paying for. Last weekend, my current boyfriend picked me up from my friends party at 2 am with a burrito, a blanket, and a bottle of water and said "your eyeliner looks so good tonight, I missed you."     Font - 4 hours ago via Mobile So I'm having a pretty rough day. I'm walking down the street to the lunch trucks (with probably a big frown in my face) and there's an old man ahead with a cane. He says to me "nice umbrella" is quiet for a second and lifts his cane and says "want to have a sword fight?" we dueled for a few minutes and he taught me some fencing moves. Turns out he was a fencer for about 15 years. After we were done he told me "hope I made your day better" and walked away. Thank you

    Smile - is in O Charlton, Massachusetts. ... 2 hrs Instagram Sitting in my car in front of the post office waiting 10 minutes because they're closed for lunch. This woman tried to go in, and I let her know they were closed for another 10 minutes. She started chatting, and I jokingly said "hop in, let's go for a spin to kill the 10 minute wait." She did.
