Run by the same people who threw the Astroworld festival?? *Suspicious*
Listen, it's not like early ‘00 emo kids aren’t thanking the eyeliner gods for this lineup. It's just that, most of them are elder millennials now, they've already been through the wringer and they're not falling for this crap.
Emo TikTokers are going viral explaining how Live Nations “When We Were Young" festival is basically just a huge scam. Right off the bat, we know Live Nation is the same company who threw the infamous Astroworld festival where 10 people died, and the Lovers & Friends festival which turned out to be a total scam. But also, the company is currently within the midst of a $10 billion lawsuit and many TikTokers think they're now just trying to prey on the emo crowd as a fast cash grab.
But the elder emo millennials of TikTok and even new fans of these emo bands on the app are not falling for it. Tons of viral videos are flooding in, not only exposing how Live Nation is just a huge scam artist, but also providing the math of how this one-day (12 hours) festival with almost 70 bands is just not physically possible.
Yes, veteran emos have all been to Warped Tour, but Warped Tour was a touring show, so people had several days to catch the act, it had double the amount of stages, AND it was like only $40.
One TikToker even goes as far as saying if you buy tickets to this event you'll actually be helping Live Nation avoid paying off the victims of Astroworld's families.
Several viral TikTok videos even pointed out how a few of the artists didn't even realize they were on the lineup or that the lineup was so massive.
Even with all the skepticism around this festival trending on TikTok, all the emo fans can agree on one thing: This lineup is INSANE. They're hoping with all their blacked-out hearts that this is for real.
