“So that makes it free right? RIGHT? YOUR MANAGER. NOW.” said u/kzintech.

“I had a 20% employee discount once, an a manager who would let me apply it to 50%-off post-holiday candy. Stale Santas were awesome welcome back to school treats, and for 30 cents on the dollar I had plenty to pass around.” said u/excess_inquisitivity.

“There was always something else.” said OP.

“Some people take out their anger or sadness on retail. She really must like you folks if she keeps coming back.” replied u/blankblank.

“Oh I greeted her VERY sweetly every single week.” said OP, “'Oh welcome back! We weren't expecting to see you again. What a pleasure!' She was never pleased. But couldn't exactly report it to corporate. What was she going to say, ‘Your employee greets me every time I say I hate her!’”

"You'll be excited to know that Tree Toppers ARE NOT on sale!" said u/pfunk1989.

“Interestingly, she didn't even celebrate Christmas. I got yelled at about that one too on a few other visits from her. I chose not to really mention that part because it was irrelevant to the story at hand and I didn't want to invite trolls belittling her religion. Her behavior was not because of religion but because of meanness. But for real, the insane people that were actually shopping for Christmas got nasty!” said OP.
