Grade school teachers deserve a big and medal - and not just for having to deal with the insanity of kids. Teaching, unfortunately, means they also have to put up with their entitled parents all of the time. One redditor recently explained how their sister assigned the following math problem to her 4th grade students: "Mary can swim at a rate of 2 meters per second. How long will it take her to swim to a raft 10 meters from shore?" The assignment seems pretty standard and inoffensive, right? Well, one awful parent managed to get her feathers ruffled over systems of measurement, reminding the teacher in an email that "in America, we do not use the metric system." No shit, Sherlock. Fortunately for us here at home, the teacher maliciously complied in a fabulous follow-up email. Needless to say, OP's post sparked a thread of math jokes and puns of metric proportions - and we've put 'em all right here for you.
