Happy morning, ladies and gents! We hope that you have had the loveliest week and that you're getting ready for an even better weekend. Now, of course, one cannot guarantee that a weekend would be a good one, but we sure as heck can make sure that it starts on the right paw. It's time to meet the newly adopted faces of the week!
Every single Friday, we start your day off with a whole new collection of animal adoption stories. For all animal people, reading about animals finding their forever homes is an absolutely guaranteed way to start the day off with a smile.
Thank you, as always, goes to everyone who has adopted animals this week! And an especially large thank you goes to those of you who adopted the 'less than pawfect' pets - the gorgeous senior pets, the sick pets and the pets with behavioral issues. We hope the journey you have with them will be easy and wholesome, but even if it'll be hard, we know it will be worth it.
"This little guy has been outside my workplace, at risk of being stepped on and crushed by people or wheelchairs. Decided to adopt and named him Timmy. Brought him to the vet and he's currently in isolation from my other cats (he has Giardia, Corona, Parvo, earmites, fleas). Vet said he's a fighter!"
"Any tips for rehabilitating traumatised cats? We adopted this guy 3 days ago. He was found on the streets and is about 1yo. He's litter trained and eating fine but he just sits and stares all day and hisses if I get too near. My plan is to bribe with food and sit with him until he gets used to me."
"We rescued this puppy on the side of the road in a box a couple weeks ago, there was blood stained on the box so we think she had siblings but got eaten by some sort of wild animal. She is now the love of my family and I's life. She is super happy and playful."
