We've seen a lot of strange and amusing headlines in our time. While some are funny in their structure, others are funnier because of the content ('Alton Attorney Accidentally Sues Himself'). We're fond of both. Some of our favorites include:
While these headlines are definitely entertaining, they don't hold a candle to the ones penned by our new favorite Op-Ed writer, The Guardian's Adrian Chiles. We were alerted to his dramatic, whimsical, and mostly inane articles thanks to an incredible thread about British newspapers. Though the thread itself was marvelous, our favorite contribution came from @redux_lint, who did anyone unfamiliar a huge favor by introducing Chiles' handiwork. These examples, which he kindly shared with the public, can only be described as works of literary art. Maureen Dowd and Paul Krugman have a lot of catching up to do.
